Action and Unity in Times of Need
Founding Story

Our history...
Our founder, Will Harris, began a journey in developmental pediatrics in the early 1990s as a pediatric occupational therapist. His speciality was and is helping kids through optimizing play for needed skill development.
His methods never quite followed standard practice as he has a truly analytical method. Though very pragmatic, he found that the most important thing was fostering early and consistent success through management of the demands of the activities. Children, well any individuals, are more likely to do something when they believe they can do it. So he became very effective in creating specialized curriculum and activities to promote consistent development through successful engagements.
The thing is, though, that practice is boring. The secret ingredient, he found, is a splash of fun. The genesis of our offerings was from 30 years of evolving methods to help children in various stages of development develop cognitive, behavioral, motor, sensory, and perceptual skills for their primary job of being a student.
For many years he practiced as a school-based therapist and he ran a private pediatric therapy company. In this time he worked with thousands of kids. And for 13 years he ran a school for severely physically impaired children. In his career he has provided intervention for children of all stages of typical and atypical development. In this setting, he and his staff used his method to realize profound success in learning for children with severe learning impairments; successes that were rarely seen or expected of that population.
After meeting with long-time friend, Matt Alexander, co-founder of tech company, Cognetik, the duo decided to create products and offerings to help thousands of kids around the world instead of one kid at a time. Embedded inside of all of our products is 30 years of experience, learnings, and evolved practices in the field of developmental pediatrics.

From Struggles to Strength
The Current World
The world is filled with half-solutions, inferior products that don’t quite solve problems, leaving children struggling and frustrated. Oftentimes frustration is expressed in behaviors which misrepresent the basic character of a child. In many cases parents don’t even know what the problem is, but they think they’ve addressed it with some of the half-solutions that are available.

Our Ideal Future
More children enter kindergarten or beyond having the foundation of skills needed for success in their school and life journey.
